Into the Unreal
There’s a place in New Zealand where the mountains rise like walls from the water, where mist drifts between peaks and the sky seems impossibly close. That place is Milford Sound.
Standing there, it’s impossible not to feel small. Insignificant, even. And yet, somehow, alive in a way that only moments like this can make you feel.
The sheer scale of the landscape humbles you. The waterfalls pour with relentless force, the clouds cling to the peaks, and the silence – if you can find it – feels infinite.
Life sometimes brings us to our own versions of Milford Sound: overwhelming, breathtaking, beyond our control. And like in nature, the only thing we can do is be present, let ourselves be amazed, and trust that even in our smallness, there is wonder.
Perhaps the lesson is simple:
you don’t have to conquer the awe… let it conquer you.
